About Us
Welcome to Ricepuritytest.fun.
This site exists for one reason: to give you a clean, anonymous, ad-supported-but-not-ad-overloaded place to take the original Rice Purity Test online. No login walls, no email required, no quiz results sold to advertisers, just the test, your score, and you.
Who Runs This Site
Rice Purity Test Fun was built and is maintained by Tayyab Ali, a web developer based in Lahore, Pakistan with over 10 years of experience building and running web tools used by millions of people.
The site launched was for a straightforward reason: most Rice Purity Test sites were slow, cluttered, or vague about what they did with your answers. I wanted to build a version that was fast, completely anonymous, and honest. One that matched the original Rice University version exactly, without modification, and without storing or sharing anything you submit. That’s still the standard this site holds itself to.
The quiz on this site is a faithful reproduction of the original test first published by Rice University’s student newspaper, the Rice Thresher, which has documented the test since 1924. Nothing has been added, removed, or changed. If you want to read about the test’s history directly from the source, Rice University’s digital archive is worth exploring.
I also write all the blog posts on the site, covering what your score actually means, the real history of where the test came from, why it went viral on TikTok among Gen Z, and how to interpret the more confusing questions honestly.
What Makes This Site Different
A few things we do differently from most Rice Purity Test sites:
- Your answers stay on your device. The score is calculated in your browser. We don’t store what you checked or what you scored. Nothing about your answers ever reaches our servers.
- No login or signup. You shouldn’t have to give a website your email to take a quiz. So we don’t ask.
- Mobile-friendly. The test works smoothly on phones, tablets, and desktops. Most people take it on their phone, so we made sure that experience is the priority.
- Honest content. Our blog posts try to give you straight answers about the test, its origins, what scores actually mean, and how to interpret confusing questions, instead of filling pages with fluff.
About the Rice Purity Test Itself
The Rice Purity Test was created in the 1980s at Rice University in Houston, Texas, as a fun bonding activity for incoming freshmen during Orientation Week. It’s a 100-question self-assessment quiz that scores your level of innocence based on your real-life experiences. Decades later, it’s still going, every new generation of college students rediscovers it, and TikTok has given it a global audience.
